You know when i'm too lazy to cook dinner, i will cook egg fried rice. It's easy and healthy. Just throw whatever you have in the fridge and walla..yummy fried rice. All you need are these two important ingredients - eggs and steamed plain rice (refrigerated).
This is how i cooked my egg fried rice. Easy to cook and prep time is around 5 minutes. Cooking is about 10 minutes.
These are the ingredients i normally use so feel free to add yours or your own preferred ingredients.
- Cooked rice ( refrigerated )
- Fish Cake ( sliced )
- Carrot (thinly sliced)
- Cabbage (thinly sliced)
- Button mushroom ( sliced )
- 3 eggs ( beaten and seasoned with salt and pepper)
- 1 Shallot
- Garlic ( i don't cut my garlic since i don't want to accidently eat them. )
- Cooking Oil
1. Make scrambled eggs. I usually take out the cooked scrambled eggs and put aside.
Yeah..you can see my style of cooking a bit different.
2. On the same wok, add a couple of spoon of vegetable oil. Wait til hot enough.
On medium heat flame.
3. Saute shallots and garlic for few minutes.
4. Add the fish cake, slice carrots, cut mushrooms and stir for a few minutes.
Then add the cabbages. Cook for a few minutes or so.
5. Then add the rice. Cook over medium heat or high flame. Your choice.
6. Add the fried scrambled eggs to fried rice and stir and mix it around.
7. Add a spoon of soy sauce and season with salt and pepper. Stir fired for another few minutes
and you're done.
